It is clear that the love between mankind and His maker is the foundation for the culture of life, and that foundation leads to the steady and abiding love between man and woman and family, which is the source of a just society that honors and respects each individual's life throughout life.
Any effort or movement that opposes the sanctity of life, reverence for God, parental rights and the sanctity of marriage and the family is clearly aligned with evil.

HPA Board member and retired nurse, Debbie Mulcahy,
shares Her Father's Story:
I will probably be ostracized for my view of palliative care and dementia. I am also a nurse and worked with seniors with dementia. My own Aunt lived 12 years with dementia.
My Dad had vascular dementia. He was still aware of his surroundings and loved ones, continued to go to church and to restaurants to eat. My Dad ran away from home one night with me close behind. He was looking for his young wife and 3 small children!
I called an ambulance as he needed to go to the Alzheimers Unit to have his medications re-evaluated. In the process they took him to the acute hospital. I was his legal and medical guardian.
They asked me about palliative care and asked my permission to place him on a light sedative. From that day on my life was hell. I will never forget it. The palliative care doctor attempted to put him into terminal sedation by pushing Phenobarbital into his IV until he could not eat, walk, and barely talk.
When I disagreed with their idea of treatment, they refused to let him go to the Alzheimer's unit and let me know that "his life has no value." They even pulled in Adult Protective Services!
I hired a lawyer. While still in the acute hospital, I had a hospice nurse come in and in front of my Dad she said, "When are you going to put him on hospice?" He has less than 10 days to live."
With that my Dad cried out, "Debra, why are they trying to kill me? I have friends and people who love me!"
How dare any nurse or doctor play the role of God!
Thank God for a very good psychiatrist who went to court with me to prove my Dad was not actively dying. My Dad was then transferred to the Alzheimers Unit and appropriately treated and came home.
Criminals are treated better! I have fully given up nursing. My veterinarians treat my animals more respectfully. Hospice and palliative care have become just legal names for euthanasia. I have told my story on numerous radio programs and continue to write about it so more people are educated on the lies from the hospice staff.
I will continue to support the lives of all people -- having experienced first hand the fight for life for my Dad in 2014 and for my Mom this past January 2020 with several physicians and the hospice staff.
I have to say that with God's help and many prayers, and many repeated and difficult battles with the medical staff, I won over forced death. Both my parents have now been called to their eternal home in God's time.

The Hospice Patients Alliance organization is winding down operations and will not be taking calls, but the website will continue to be available at a Legacy site (to be announced) and is also available in full at the Internet archive, so all pages and information are preserved.
The HPA site including all pages is saved online at the internet archive:
If you wish to access the information from the HPA site, bookmark that page or save it somewhere on your computers. The internet archive has our pages archived going back to 1999 (it is possible to see what it looked like back then or at many times through the years).
(for other dates, you can view the different years and highlighted dates in certain months of archiving with a view of the website at that time at:
https://web.archive.org/web/*/hospicepatients.org)
We are hoping to have a more up-to-date "Legacy Website" online if possible, but for a while the HPA site itself is still at hospicepatients.org, and the internet archive has a backup all can access in the future.
(Some are urging us to find a way to keep the web pages at the web address hospicepatients.org. How that could be done is under investigation)
